Bright, cheerful and altogether scrumptious.
I'll be honest I had my doubts about turmeric drinks to begin with and I wasn't a massive fan, but I have discovered paired with ginger and few other spices it can be the most deliciously, golden, creamy drink, and I now love it. I've made this super easy by just putting all in a mug and heating it through in the microwave. It's pretty cool because it's starts off as dull yellow colour before you put it in the microwave and comes out bright gold.
Turmeric is so good for you being both a an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Ginger is great for digestion and has been associated with lowering cholesterol. Cinnamon is also something your tummy will love, lowering blood sugar levels. Maple syrup is a natural sweetener as is honey, both of which are delicious. If you opt for more expensive honey, particularly ones which are unpastursied (check the label), you will still get all the health benefits from the pollen that the honey came from - an it tastes better too!
Use any milk you want to. Cows milk is naturally quite sweet so if you use alternatives you may have to adjust the amount of sweetnew. I have a sweet tooth as well so you may want to use less honey or maple syrup then I do.
When drinking this I do feel slightly like I'm drinking sunshine, just because it's a golden colour and so warming. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
